the book louis is holding is the psychopath test by jon rohnson
Wait, I think you’re right.Summary: They say one out of every hundred people is a psychopath. You probably passed one on the street today. These are people who have no empathy, who are manipulative, deceitful, charming, seductive, and delusional. The Psychopath Test is the New York Times bestselling exploration of their world and the madness industry.
When Jon Ronson is drawn into an elaborate hoax played on some of the world’s top scientists, his investigation leads him, unexpectedly, to psychopaths. He meets an influential psychologist who is convinced that many important business leaders and politicians are in fact high-flying, high-functioning psychopaths, and teaches Ronson how to spot them. Armed with these new abilities, Ronson meets a patient inside an asylum for the criminally insane who insists that he’s sane, a mere run-of-the-mill troubled youth, not a psychopath—a claim that might be only manipulation, and a sign of his psychopathy. He spends time with a death-squad leader institutionalized for mortgage fraud, and with a legendary CEO who took joy in shutting down factories and firing people. He delves into the fascinating history of psychopathy diagnosis and treatments, from LSD-fueled days-long naked therapy sessions in prisons to attempts to understand serial killers.
Along the way, Ronson discovers that relatively ordinary people are, more and more, defined by their most insane edges. The Psychopath Test is a fascinating adventure through the minds of madness.
Louis solo (and a mix with Harry) in SS
Did anyone see this analysis for Harry’s bio…? It seems the most likely given what he’s been reading lately.
louteasdale: Aw bye @namelessgem 😫
I'm sorry this is going to be super dumb. I'm sure Harry and Louis are as close as they ever been, but what makes it not just friendship but a relationship? Where and when does the line lie? x
There are no dumb questions. Not speaking up when you have a question is what is truly a dumb move.
As for the line, it is in the way they look at each other. There are moment where they forget themselves, where they are not being “One Direction”, and just Harry, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and Louis. When the stage persona drops away and their true selves slip through. They happen during interviews, on stage, pretty much anywhere they get to feel relaxed. Harry and Louis simply look at each other differently than they do with the other boys.
One of the best examples is when Barbara Walters asked the band last year if they wanted to be married and have kids some day. The natural reaction of both Harry and Louis was to look at each other.
They do this all the time. They naturally have these silent conversations through meaningful looks. The only way I can really describe it is that they look at each other like my husband and I look at each other. It goes way beyond friends or just sex. There is a shared life in that look. The line is where they stop being two separate units and begin to be one.
